MEET MARY

A musician’s ear.
A teacher’s purpose.

Choosing a piano teacher is choosing the person who will shape your child’s first relationship with music.

Mary Yuntong Guan brings a background in conservatory training, international competitions and concert performance to that choice. Her performance history includes Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall and the John F. Kennedy Center.

Her musical training at Mannes School of Music, where she studied with Yuri Kim, anchors an approach to piano study that values technique, careful listening and musical expression together.

Room to grow.

From the first notes to a more confident performance, explore a direction that suits your child’s experience and goals.

01

A thoughtful beginning

FIRST STEPS AT THE PIANO

Build the essentials: rhythm, reading, coordination and a listening ear. A sound foundation gives young musicians more freedom as the music becomes more demanding.

02

A clear path forward

RCM PIANO STUDIES

Connect repertoire with technique and musicianship. For families considering Royal Conservatory examinations, discuss a study plan around the student’s current level and readiness.
